Attorney Doug Wortman concentrates his practice in bankruptcy law, family law, wills and estates and elder law. He represents clients in divorce, child custody, child support, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, wills, powers of attorney and elder law issues.
Doug is a veteran of U.S. Air Force Intelligence and has lived in Berks County for 26 years since first moving here to attend college at Kutztown University. He also studied overseas at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After earning his undergraduate degree, he went on to earn his Master’s Degree in History from East Stroudsburg University. He is also a Visiting Professor of History and Political Science at a Philadelphia area university.
Doug has been involved in his community by serving as a youth baseball coach for 15 years and has volunteered his legal services to several veteran advocacy groups including the Harrisburg Homeless Veterans Stand Down and the Legal Advocacy Task Force for Veterans. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Lehigh County Bar Associations.
